It amazes me how putting one picture–just one picture–on a wall, can change an entire space. I moved into my house the last week of November, and have been slowly decorating and acquiring different pieces and various furniture. It’s going to take years to find all the fun little knick-knacks, time for change and redecorating and waiting for the perfect little thing for that tiny little corner. But I’ve been loving it. My house was one giant blank canvas when I moved in, and I had barely any furniture to fill it. It felt so bare for so long, but from the moment I put just one picture on the wall, it already felt more like home. Today I worked on this frame wall in my dining room with different pieces and prints that I have been slowly collecting for the better part of a year. It has made this little space feel so vastly different!
I’m sure I’ll always be tweaking and changing things, finding the perfect little spot for all of my things, like this giant Volcano candle that I bought myself as a little housewarming present–because clearly a house wasn’t enough. It has 5 wicks!! So here is a little tour of my dining room. Enjoy 🙂
